Zhang, PhD student
Ruyun got her M.Sc degree in
ecology from South China Botanical Garden, CAS and joined the lab in
Sep. 2020. Her research is focused on the scale-dependent driving
mechanisms of spatial beta diversity. Ruyun is also interested in many
aspects of intraspecific trait variation.
Xiaoning Wang, PhD
student
Xiaoning got her M.Sc degree in ecology from Fujian
Normal University and joined the lab in Sep. 2021. Her research is
focused on the global patterns and underlying drivers of temporal change
in beta diversity.
Wenhao Zhao, PhD
student
Wenhao got his M.Sc degree in ecology from Fujian
Normal University and joined the lab in Sep. 2022. His research is
focused on the maintenance of rare species.
Jingyue
Huang, PhD student
Jingyue got her B.Sc degree in
ecology from Guangxi University and joined the lab in Sep. 2020. Her
work is mainly about the abundance-center hypothesis.
Yongchao Liu, Master
student
Yongchao got his B.Sc degree in forestry from
Shandong Agricultural University and joined the lab in Sep. 2020. He is
exploring the possibilities of using remote sensing data to estimate
tree diversity in natural forests.
Yulin
Zeng, Master student (co-supervised with Dr. Qingsong
Yang)
Yulin got her B.Sc degree in natural resource management from
Northeast China Forestry University and joined the lab in Sep. 2021. She
is trying to understand the causes and consequences of structures of
understory fern communities in the 20-ha forest dynamics plot in
Tiantong National Forest Park.

Li, Master student
You got his B.Sc degree in forestry
from Anhui Agricultural University and joined the lab in Sep. 2021. He
is widely interested in community ecology and biogeography.
Haoxiang
Lu, Master student
Haoxiang got his B.Sc degree in
Ecology from Yangzhou University and joined the lab in Sep. 2022. He is
working on understanding the inter- and intraspecific variation in
foliar spectral reflectances.
